Over the course of my career in financial modelling, I’ve built models ranging from simple 13-week cash flow forecasts to projections stretching more than 100 years into the future.

I’ve worked with businesses of all shapes and sizes, from owner-managed companies to global multinationals and supported a wide variety of situations including acquisitions, disposals, carve-outs, trade sales, private equity transactions and market flotations.

Along the way, I’ve seen some interesting things. One model I reviewed even included a revenue line for “Disposal of Human Body Parts”.

I also spent 11 years in industry, where models weren’t just built for transactions – they were used, challenged and updated month after month to support real business decisions.
