The Ripple Effect

Over the Summer, the team supported The Ripple Effect Lancaster a charity that helps people, arriving in Europe that have been displaced through conflict.

By liaising with organisations already working in these particular countries trying to support refugees the Ripple Effect receive ‘needs lists’ that they then try to fulfil. This avoids causing storage problems at the receiving end.

Items required are in the main clothing, blankets and toiletries for men, women, children and babies and the team at Cortus pulled together to donate all of the above.

Nicola Merritt, CEO at Cortus said, “The Winter is an especially hard time for people who have been displaced from their homes. Although, no replacement for a warm and secure place to live hopefully these items go some way to helping refugees manage until such time that they find a safe place to settle.”
